We are very excited to announce the arrival of our children’s picture book – Flaming Charli.

The title is published by envirobook and is the culmination of a two-year collaboration between myself and illustrator, Lorraine Robertson.

cover-imageWith pleasant rhyming text, and vivid 3D illustrations, Flaming Charli captures the drama of the Australian bush and is sure to win children’s hearts.

The story revolves around Charli, an energetic, Sulphur-crested cockatoo who likes to perform a special trick – the curly wurly Raaaaarrrrrrkkkkk. One morning, while performing her stunt, she sees a bushfire and warns the other forest animals. Charli saves the day!

Lorraine Robertson illustrated Flaming Charli. She has a Ph.D. in Natural History from the University of Newcastle and most recently illustrated the D’harawal series of Seasons and Climate Cycles, Climate and Natural Resources and Dreaming Stories.
